Minecraft alpha remembered + texture pack

I was playing minecraft one day when I started to remember the good old days of minecraft alpha, i then remembered how cool the cobblestone looked and the grass was so bright... so i searched minecraft alpha texture pack for beta and i saw this-

                                  

so i quickly downloaded it started up minecraft and there it was... how does anyone remember the days when nobody spawned items and minecarts were complicated now we have pistons and so on...
